What is Worship3? (or W3 pronounced “Worship-Cubed”)
JOURNEY CHURCH
To Live by Faith
To be known by Love
To Declare Hope
Worship3 is a journey of:
Gathering (worshiping) as a community of faith
Serving others (in the church and community)
Growing through discipleship (through LIFE Groups)
We Gather; we Serve; we Grow as we journey
towards being and developing fully formed disciples of Jesus Christ.
As a community of faith, we are called to Declare Hope through the
revelation and realization of God’s presence and work in us, through us
and around us.
In Worship3 we move from our usual compartmentalization of these spiritual disciplines to experiencing a “wholeness,” a unity of our faith
through all three. We then live and experience all three as a way of life –
a lifestyle of worship. We worship through our serving and growing;
we grow through our worship and our serving; we serve through our worship and our growing – the lines become blurred as we journey to a blending
of these spiritual disciplines. (Depicted by moving towards the center of the diagram at the right.) This becomes a life-long journey. This
“wholeness” is the missing piece.
We see Worship3 as a call to passion and renewal
- a passion for intimately following Christ and experiencing God in
all that we say, think and do. It is a call for all to take on the
responsibility of outreach and evangelism - reaching out to others
(depicted by moving outward in the diagram), both believers and seekers
alike, allowing them to experience the transforming love and hope of
Jesus first hand. It is a call for us to grow and be defined by our
faith in Christ. It is being intentional about the call of God on our lives. This kind of faith, hope and love is contagious, is
attractive and through the mercy and grace of Jesus, transforms lives.
This is how we live by faith, are known by love and declare hope. Worship3 is an ongoing, ever deepening relationship with our Lord Jesus
Christ as He leads us on a journey towards being His fully formed disciples – His committed followers. We seek God’s heart – we seek God’s
passions.
