Mexico Outreach
History
Journey Church's Mexico Outreach (JCMO) program started in 1999 as a Senior
Youth program. Initially, we jointed the Azusa Pacific University's Mexico Outreach
program. However, the program grew to a independent Journey Church Program
and was continued as a Senior Youth program until 2005 when it became too big and required the majority of the Youth Pastor's time to
organize and manage. It was decided to discontinue the Mexico Outreach as
Senior Youth program that is organized by a staff person. Volunteers stepped in
and took over the leadership of the program and convert it to a Family Outreach
program.
Since 1999 the JCMO build relationships with three Partner Churches that are
invaluable. Through this program our team members were enriched and
blesses. The majority of children and adults that went to Mexico in the
passed came back with a new focus and a better understanding what it means to be
God's servants.

Mission Focus
The JCMO team visits Mexico every year for a week before Easter Sunday, which
coincide with Easter school break in Mexico. During these visits the JCMO team
provides the following outreach ministries:
Daily Vacation Bible School (VBS) classes for the young
children.
Worshiping Together and participate in church services
through teaching and music.
Adult Education classes to prepare the local ministry teams in children
ministry, youth ministry, and other programs.
Construction/Maintenance Projects aimed to serve the local churches and
provide essential service and resources to maintain their facilities.
Community Outreach that focus on providing services or resources to
the needed in the communities served by the Partner Churches.
In this process we build relationships with the members of the Partner
Churches and enrich our own team members.
Where in Mexico?

Hotel Dial, G. Victoria, Mx
|
Since 1999 the JCMO team build work with three churched in the Louis B.
Sanchez area southeast of Mexicali. Louis B. Sanchez is located about an
hour and a half's drive from Mexicali and just across the border of Sonora
province. During our visits in Mexico, the JCMO team stays at Hotel Dial
in Guadalupe Victoria, Baja, Mexico. This G. Victoria is approximately 20
minutes away from our nearest Partner Church Bethel.

There are multiple ways to get involved and become a JCMO team member -even
