Powerhouse Ministries

Powerhouse Ministries is a non profit interdenominational corporation serving families and individuals in crisis with love and mercy to meet their physical, emotional, educational, social and spiritual needs.

Powerhouse is committed to strengthening all aspects of individual and family life in the neighborhoods God has called us to serve. Some of the people we minister to are families of prisoners at Folsom State Prison. But most are just men and women dealing with ordinary, difficult and painful life events: the loss of a job or home, drug and alcohol abuse, divorce and lack of child care or transportation.

They’re all damaged by the complexity and stress that modern life inflicts on low-income families. Often cold, hungry and forgotten, they have few sources of help in Folsom. And their children are at risk for perpetuating these problems.

Twin Lakes Food Bank

The Twin Lakes Food Bank is a Christian, non-profit organization that helps families in need with supplemental food and clothing. Whether disadvantaged by unexpected and troubled times, or a family living day-to-day in need, the Twin Lakes Food Bank has opened its heart to thousands of your neighbors since 1986.

The Twin Lakes Food Bank serves over 1,000 people each month - including 500-600 children - with a week's worth of nutritious food.

Furniture for Families

Furniture for Families is a local, nonprofit, all volunteer furniture bank. We solicit good, serviceable used furniture, store it in our warehouse, and distribute it (free of charge) to qualified clients who are referred to us by caseworkers from social service agencies familiar with the specific needs of the client.

There are many people in our area who are blessed with so much and there are many who are in great need. Here is an opportunity to fill the needs and enrich the lives of both!

Campus Crusade

Campus Crusade for Christ International is a worldwide, interdenominational Christian ministry committed to showing people how they can know and experience God's love and plan for their lives.

Jill and Derek Hooper have been on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ in the Sacramento area for the past 8 years. They seek to build ministries on the campuses of Sacramento State, American River College and Sierra College, by winning students to Christ, building them up in their faith and sending them out to continue the process of winning, building and sending.
