Life Groups
Life groups are not one more thing to do. Our culture keeps us in the
“captivity of activity” and far from the way life was meant to be. Jesus,
through the community of a small group, modeled how we do life together. He
connected with the disciples through life experience, through teaching, and
action as they served the needs of others.
What is the purpose of a Journey Church Life Group?
To live by faith
You will experience spiritual growth through application of the Bible to your
personal situations. You can ask questions and gain insight through discussion.
No one is pressured to pray; but in praying together, we grow closer and find
answers to our needs. As you seek God together, you will begin to live by faith.
To be known by love
You will experience the sense of truly belonging to God’s family. You will
develop close relationships with each other founded in God’s love for us. In a
Life Group, you will have a more casual atmosphere to share Christ with others.
God shows His love to us through His people and there is no better way to
experience this than in a Life Group. Be known by love.
To declare hope
You will find strength for life’s storms in your Life Group. Your Life Group
will stand with you in times of transition, stress, and crisis; and for times of
celebration and joy. In a Life Group you can grow together as a community of
believers and challenge one another to serve. You will be encouraged to reach
your full potential in God. You can make a difference in someone’s life by
allowing God to use you for his purpose: to declare hope.
